SD PRODUCCIONES
Created
in Buenos Aires by Silvia Dopacio in October 1995, S.D. Productions began
with the exclusive representation of Alejandro Barletta, the unique
baroque bandoneon player in the history of the instrument, and Pierino
Gamba, the eminent director of symphonic orchestras. At the same time S.D.
Productions was in charge of the regency of Events and Spectacles in the
Adrogue Plaza Shopping and realizes the organization and production of the
Youthful Tournaments of Buenos Aires, since the Culture Department of Alte.

In 1997 S.D. Productions begins with The Literary Workshops, La
Bohemia Workshop, shows in Literary bars and coffees, the editorial
purpose, editing four books under the editorial Puro Grupo and being
awarded by its activities in Argentina and outside of the country (Los
Angeles, California), the literary concourses and tango lyrics concourses,
the musical cd´s production, the organization of institutional and
private events in Argentina and other countries, like for example the
production of the 140 anniversary of the Traditional Tortoni coffee,
International Tango Festivals, the general coordination of the Oil
Worldwide Congress in Costa Salguero, Buenos Aires, and the tango
production for different TV shows (America 2 channel, Telefe channel11,
Azul TV, channel 9, ATC channel 7 and Artear channel 13 from Buenos
Aires).
SD
productions is jury in the Carlos Gardel
music awards and founded the Rocamadour Club,
artistic vanguard.
This
Production gives collaboration in the subject of Tango research in the
magazines El Suplemento, California and LetraAmerica, Caracas, Venezuela,
until today. And Sd productions is the first in giving bandoneon classes
and literary critic classes by internet.
Nowadays,
SD Productions realizes tango shows, spectacles, concerts and performances
in Buenos Aires, Los Angeles and New York. Is the
exclusive manager of Gabriel
Merlino, bandoneon player who realize performances in Buenos Aires and
Europe.
In
Buenos Aires SD productions has a company of three couples of dances and
instrumental quartet and the duo Merlino-Uria, bandoneon and guitar, for
events and spectacles.
In
the current year, SD Productions had presented its spectacles in this
milongas: Patio de Tango in the Argentinean
Society of Writers, Salon Canning, La Catedral, Viejo Correo and El Beso
milonga de Las Morochas.
Productions in Los Angeles, California: Bandoneon Dream
Performances: Bandoneon soloist with Original Music, Jazz, Tango, waltz,
milongas, Latin boleros. Shows in the Conga Room, Los Angeles the place of
Jennifer Lopez and Tito Puente, The Tango Club, Rosemead, Noho Festival (opening)
Hollywood, La Bohemia de Los Angeles, Sunset blvd, recordings for radio. TANGO
& LUNA performance: In California State University,Dominguez Hills,
Camarero´s Place, La Bohemia Sunset Blvd., La Cañada Flintridge, Mansion
Mina, Los Angeles, Regina Restaurante, Garden Grove, Los Angeles,
California, USA.
In La Bohemia de
Los Angeles, Sunset Blvd., with the TANGO & LUNA spectacle. This
show was presented too In California State University Dominguez Hills.
The CONGA ROOM with
transmission for TV, being the first time in which Tango was present in
CONGA ROOM, a traditional Latin music place of Jennifer López y Tito
Puente, with the Production of Marcos Questas, dancer. Camarero´s Place,
Mansion Mina in Hollywood, and other places.
SD productions have realized concerts with the National Symphonic Orchestra in the city of Buenos Aires and with the SODRE Symphonic Orchestra in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Another
activities: Konex awards in representation of the great master Alejandro
Barletta, on TV, production of the show in the famous novella Naranja y
media with the actor Guillermo Francella, the program Café Fashion with
the actors Federico Luppi and Betiana Blum, and the politician Lilita
Carrió, in “Almorzando…”, with the actress Mirtha Legrand and
Pierino Gamba.
The production of the first milonga for TV in the reality show El
Bar TV, four hours without interruption for cable channel and for national
channel.
With
Alejandro Barletta in the Hotel Casino Punta Carrasco in Uruguay, with
Pierino Gamba in the TV show of the actress Mirtha Legrand, Buenos Aires
Argentina.
With
the musicians Caetano Veloso and Pappo- Norberto Napolitano-
Activities
on the Adrogue Shopping, as manager of events and spectacles, with the
creation of Sound Poetry and Poetic Body Art.
SD
productions was required for the representation of the actress and singer
Marikena Monti, concerts and shows was realized in places like Borges
Cultural Centre, Clasica y moderna, Traditional Tortoni Coffee, private
and management
Events
accompanied by the quartet for
the Bandoneon player Gabriel Merlino, Nuevo
Siglo Tango.
In
S.A.D.E., Argentinean Society of Writers with the ambassador of Romania
and in the house of the contractor Norberto Feldman, special realization
of SD productions for the Syria ambassador with the dancers Mayoral and
Elsa Maria, the singer Hugo Marcel under the musical direction of Gabriel
Merlino, bandoneon and arrangements. (January 2002)
SD
productions realized a tribute to the poet Alfonsina Storni in S.A.D.E.
Argentinean Society of Writers, with the presence of his son Alejandro.
SD
productions organized in the Belgrano Auditorium, a concert with The
National Symphonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires, directed by Pierino Gamba
and with Andrea Griminielli, Flute player and disciple of Rampal, in which
1700 people were present.
With the ex- president Carlos Menem, in the inauguration of the New
Seat of S.A.D.E. Mexico Street, San Telmo with the general realization of
SD productions and Rocamadour Club.
SD
Productions in the Buenos Aires Youthful Tournaments in the city of Mar
del Plata as a jury in folklore and poetry.
Radio
show “Traficando palabras”, FM del SOL, with the conduction of Silvia
Dopacio.
Idea
and production of the first Poetry Concourse “From Boedo to the
World”. The jury: Silvia Dopacio, Oscar Del Priore, Jose Gobello, Hector
Negro and Carlitos Garcia on the Lunfardo Academy.

Productions since 1996 takes the exclusive representation of the bandoneon
player Gabriel Merlino and Nuevo Siglo Tango.
